Summary

Conducts reviews on audited loan files to ensure external auditors appropriately address all originations and servicing quality control requirements. Also, acts as a secondary liaison between TruHome and the quality control vendor.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review loan origination, processing, underwriting, and closing documents for accuracy and compliance, including recalculation of debts, income, and assets.
  • Review mortgage servicing-specific areas of interest for accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct all reviews within mandated timelines.
  • Assist with credit union, state agency or regulatory exams as requested by manager.
  • Remain abreast of relevant agency and regulatory requirements and changes.
  • Generate and distribute both summary and loan-specific reports as requested.
  • May assist in the distribution of findings, rebuttals, and remediation as needed and as requested by manager.
  • Monitors and responds to agency requests for loan file reviews or documentation.
  • Communicate significant areas of concern with manager when identified.
  • Promote professional, friendly, honest and open communication with staff, members, and other outside entities, working in a positive and productive manner.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage originations and servicing generally.
  • Knowledge of regulations governing mortgage lending, including (not limited to) Regulations B, X, and Z.
  • Knowledge of GNMA, FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA guidelines and relevant investor/secondary market underwriting and eligibility requirements.
  • Experience utilizing a loan origination/management system, which includes pipeline tracking, reporting, and document retrieval.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal conflict and miscommunications.
  • Must be able to be bonded.
