SUPERVISES:

Escrow Administration, Lien Release, Document Custody

 

GENERAL FUNCTIONS: 

The position will oversee the day to day management of the Escrow Administration (tax, insurance, PMI, escrow analysis), Lien Release, and Document Custody teams. This individual is responsible for hiring, training and managing the departments and team members.  Also, ensuring quality measures are in place to provide exemplary service to the members and the Credit Unions employing THS as a Subservicer while protecting the assets within the entire servicing portfolio from monetary losses.

Duties & Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Manage all escrow, document custody, and lien release activities.
  2. Hiring, evaluating, promoting, compensating and managing escrow, lien release, document custody staff members.
  3. Responsible for the timeliness and operational accuracy of all functions including escrow analysis, tax and insurance disbursements, document custody and lien release processing.
  4. Ensure departments under your management adhere to Federal and State regulations and time frames, update procedures as new regulations are released.
  5. Assist in identifying potential risks, communicate them to management and take appropriate steps to avoid risk.
  6. Identify potential improvement to processes and procedures.
  7. Develop and maintain positive working relationships by always providing high quality customer service to all internal and external customers.
  8. Promotes honest and open communication throughout the credit union.
  9. Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with the credit union’s values, philosophies, and leadership characteristics.
  10. Work with other TruHome and credit union departments to ensure the workflow or process is providing the best service to the members.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Proficient knowledge of mortgage servicing guidelines and practices.
  2. Proficient background and knowledge of escrow account activity.
  3. Proficient knowledge of FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and RESPA Guidelines.
  4. Proficient knowledge of mortgage servicing software.
  5. Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  7. Ability to self-initiate and work independently without close supervision.
  8. Strong ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
  9. Ability to resolve interpersonal conflicts and miscommunication.
  10. Knowledge of spreadsheet software and ability to use word processing software.
  11. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  12. Must be able to be bonded.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

In this position, individual will be expected to lift up to 20 pounds from time to time. Also, must be able to stoop, bend, reach, or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position is expected to work in general office environment and may have to travel for visits to other credit union facilities or for training purposes. Overtime will be expected to be worked as needed.

 

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Four-year college degree with three plus years’ Servicing experience. Previous financial institution experience in a related role is a plus.
